At first I wanted to bring everything over... then after a few clicks I decided what I wanted most were the Friendships (capital F).
So, with the exception of a handful of blogs I've copied over, to keep me in the groove and feel of inspiration the rest have been deleted.
It's little more than an empty turtle shell over there.
I've un-joined groups and posted notices about deletions of groups.
Drastic? Maybe but I don't like the thought of all our stuff floating around in the etherworlds or coldly deleted by the powers that be in Multiply. I will delete Miskinak on Multiply long before the December 1st shutdown. I want to be sure all my fields are cleared and I do the deletion my self.
In the meantime, I am reminiscing with fondness over the challenges we had, the games we played, the videos we made, the karaoke we sang, and whacking we did.
But, that was then and this is now. Multiply is where it all happened, we're all moving to different sites now, and will likely acquire new friends and share in different ways yet again.
I'm hanging on to my truest friends with white knuckles and won't post any where but here so there's no confusion as to how to find me.
I have too little time to write and play as it is, if I have more than one place I have to watch, explore learn and connect with I'll fast lose interest and the fun will be gone.
So, I ask only one thing, let me know where you're final destination is and I'll do what I can to pop by and visit as regularly as I can.
You can always find me at Google+ Miskinak Periwinkle
:) I am doing the same. So far I've saved two poems. I've read my Happy-dog blogs and cried.
ReplyDeleteMostly I am just overwhelmingly grateful for the experiences and clarity and perspective all y'all have given me. Capital F, indeed :)
I am leaving it all for Multiply to delete. I'm evil, spiteful and vindictive. Sorta. I doubt it will give them any heartache and they'll just run a little program to delete us all. *sigh* Even when I went back over my old blogs....it was the comments that were more fun than the blog. Sometimes the greatest things came out of the comments and had nothing to do with the blog.
ReplyDeleteI think we are safe here. It's a brave new world.
Capital F-ships... :)
ReplyDeleteI'm evil and spiteful and want Multiplies member numbers to plummet as we do a mass deletion of our profiles. And they get nothing!
It is a brave new world... I think we'll still have fun here...(and there and every where) we just have to put a bit more effort into going around and reading everyone..
I think I will be staying here at Blogger (mostly) ... I've opened up accounts elsewhere, but I kinda like how Blogger is set up. We'll see though, I don't have much in the way for time to blog as I use to ... but I have found that blogging in my personal therapy ... Like Sandra said, I got more out of reading the comments then what I wrote in the blog ... :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I've found you and Athena, so it's a good start. I'll pop in and keep up with ya'll. I don't want to lose the friendships I've found here. :)
ReplyDelete*smile* Guess who ..
ReplyDeleteI am encouraged to see all the changes y'all have made in your blogger layouts. It makes me want to be here too, though I was also looking at blogster, with it's wall system and so on, kind of a cross between Facebook and Multiply, lol, and a little easier to navigate than here. When I was here mostly by myself, there wasn't much difficulty for me, now... omg. I can't get used to it opening a new tab every time I look at something, then I have to figure out how to get back to where I was - a while ago I ended up with about eight open tabs...*sigh* learning curve. :)
ReplyDeleteYou and Dragon are right, we need to delete ourselves, and soon -so Stefan and his crew of idiots can't use us to sucker a bunch of innocent folks. I'm staying there only as long as it takes to get Jilli over her operation. It's more than she can handle right now, to move everything and worry about a tumor... lol she has a horse named Belle, by the way. :) (not named for me, just a coincidence, but fun)
I'm there long enough to let people grab what they want from the groups I created then I'll delete them and *poof*.. I'm history.
ReplyDeleteI like it here *settles in*.. yup.. I likes it a lot.
